Complex-Waveforms

Struc's oscillators pack serious power...

Base

At the heart of Struc are Flexcurves — the fundamental building blocks that create complex, multi-dimensional morphing waveforms. Each Flexpoint on a Flexcurve can be independently modulated by multiple sources, even at audio rates, unlocking a vast sonic universe of possibilities.

Detail

Layer Flexcurves with Detail Waveforms — wavetable oscillators defined by mathematical expressions, offering precise and nuanced control. These expressions can include morphing components for smooth transitions or rely on traditional keyframe crossfades. Freely blend wavetables between Flexpoints with modulatable controls over index, frequency, and more. Global modulatable controls let you offset parameters across all Flexpoint sections simultaneously.

Stringent

The Complex Waveform concept extends everywhere — defining audio-rate oscillators, magnitude offsets, frequency shifts, skew waveforms, waveshaper curves, window waveforms, and modulators. This approach enables a universe of shapes, from classic forms to ever-evolving morphing beasts. Fully modulatable with a dual-channel workflow for comprehensive stereo control.
Multi-Oscillators

Struc's audio oscillators are multi-layered and threefold. As with all of Struc, they feature a full dual-channel design. Alongside standard controls like pitch and amplitude, you can add side oscillators to enrich the sound with greater thickness.

Time-Domain
A Complex Waveform defines the base oscillator shape. When not paired with the Frequency domain stage, all inputs can be modulated at audio rates — for example, using the Complex Waveform of another Multi-Oscillator as a modulation source.
Frequency-Domain
A Complex Waveform for each Frequency domain component: magnitude, frequency, and phase. When frequencies are modified, Struc switches internally to a fully additive mode that supports disharmonic partials.
Partial-Rules
Alter the partials of the Frequency domain via customizable rules. These rules can be applied to each spectral component, enabling sweeping frequency modulations or a myriad of otherworldly effects.
Modifiers
Modifiers further shape the timbre. A Skew Modifier produces phase-distortion effects, a Waveshaper adds harmonics to Complex Waveforms, and spectral filters help tame the sound.

Modulators

Struc's 8 modulators are, true to the name, highly flexible. Each can operate in either Envelope or LFO mode and provides up to four individual outputs plus one combined output — all usable as independent modulation sources.

Generators

Alongside Complex Waveforms serving as base and detail outputs, each modulator also offers stepped and noise outputs. All outputs are controlled by global frequency settings with individual multipliers, enabling sophisticated and intricate frequency modulation schemes.

Modifiers

Similar to the Multi-Oscillators, Modifiers can skew, shape, or window the outputs of individual Complex Waveforms, adding even more modulation depth and complexity.

Miscellaneous

Processors
Struc includes a range of built-in effects — from Delays and Waveshapers to Reverb, Chorus, and Flanger — to further shape and enhance your sound.
Matrix
With so many modulation options, the Modulation Matrix gives you a clear overview of all modulations in one place and allows you to easily manage and tweak them.
